GIRLS VARSITY SWIM & DIVE

The preliminary session was swum as timed finals with relays. Because of the snow on Saturday the preliminary session became the official Patriot District results.
Highlights included:
New District Record in the 100 Back by Reanna Dona bettering the 2003 record of 59.17 by Rebecca Jimenez with a time of 58.65.
Reanna Dona - District Champion in the 100 Free and District Champion in the 100 Back
Hellen Moffitt - District Champion in the 100 Fly and 2nd in the 100 Back
Top 16 finishers and relays earn points toward the Patriot District title. Other top 16 finishers for West Potomac included:
Leigh Orleans - 11th 500 Free
Sophia Passacantando - 12th 200 IM
Maddy Bolger - 11th 50 Free, 10th 100 Back
Julia Bolger - 12th 100 Fly, 15th 100 Back
Hannah Gwartney - 10th 500 Free
Lydia Perkins - 16th 100 Breast
All three of the relays qualified for Regions by finishing in the top six. All the relays earned points. Relay results were as follows:
Girls 200Y Medley Relay - 4th Place
Reanna Dona, Lydia Perkins, Julia Bolger, Hellen Moffitt
Girls 200Y Free Relay - 5th Place
Sophia Passacantando, Leigh Orleans, Maddy Bolger, Maddie Stevens
Girls 400Y Free Relay - 2nd Place
Julia Bolger, Maddy Bolger, Hellen Moffitt, Reanna Dona
In addition to the results above Reanna and Hellen both swam State Meet qualifying times in both of their events.
